Our Mission
At the Humane Society of Calvert County, our mission is to provide compassionate care, shelter, and advocacy for homeless and at-risk animals while striving to find them loving, permanent homes. We are dedicated to educating our community on responsible pet ownership, promoting spay/neuter programs, and fostering a culture of kindness and respect for all animals. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption, we work tirelessly to create a brighter future for the animals in our care. Together, with our volunteers, adopters, sponsors and supporters, we are making a difference-one paw at a time.
Not ready to adopt? Consider being a Foster family for one of our pups!

We believe that every dog deserves a second shot at happiness, regardless of its circumstances.
Through our efforts, countless dogs have been saved from harmful situations and given a new lease on life. Each of these dogs has a story, and each story is a testament to the power of compassion and care.
