Jasper This affectionate 2½ year old Flat-coated Retriever trots like a Tennessee Walker. His favorite game at the dog park is chasing partially deflated soccer balls and interacting with other dogs – both large and small. Jasper’s perfect match will be an active, athletic family or person which wants a dog to hike and jog with them. Every Friday his best friend Jody walks him up and down the North Beach Boardwalk for a total of 4 miles. He is easy to leash walk. Because he is prone to barking at cats, Jasper would not make a good housemate for a cat. He is a calm traveler, riding quietly in cars. He simply curls up and patiently waits while you run your errands. He is crate trained. Jasper has some experience with clicker training. Currently Jasper resides at Fishing Creek Kennel. He has found a husky there that he enjoys playing with. Because of his exuberance when playing, we believe that he would be too active for younger children. He requires a fenced yard. We are open for dog and cat adoptions on Saturdays from 11:00am - 2:00pm and Sundays from 12:30pm - 2:30pm! Appointments during the week are available upon request. Call (410) 257-4908 or the adoption counselor to meet the animal you are interested in. Most of our available dogs are in foster homes and do not reside at Fishing Creek Kennel.
