TORTOISE SHELL- WANT A LOYAL BUT INDEPENDENT KITTEN WHO CAN KEEP HERSELF OCCUPIED WHILE YOU ARE AT WORK? Meet Athena. Athena is an 8 month old female. She spends her day exploring and napping, and is delighted to jump in my lap every evening for a shower of attention. When she is finished, she goes back to entertaining herself. She is doing well with her foster sister, Ariadne, and would do fine in a home with other cats and probably dogs, or by herself. I think she would do fine for someone who is out of the house everyday but still wants a pet because she seems to like having time to herself, yet loves to "catch-up" with you at the end of the day. It took a few weeks for her to settle in and would probably need some time to settle into her new home, but once she does she is a very sweet and likable kitty. She is very intelligent and will make someone an excellent companion. I see her more as an adult's cat
